Library 2.0 Initiative

Competency #3: Podcasts

I found a fabulous podcast that fits in perfectly with my library type (high school) and one of the themes of our course, using Web 2.0 technology.
This podcast is by Helene Blowers, Public Services Technology Director, Public Library of Charlotte and Mecklenburg County. It is an 8-1/2 week initiative to present Web 2.0 technologies such as blogging, Wikis, flickr, Technorati, You Tube, etc. to public and school librarians. Each week, a new topic is introduced and listeners are encouraged to explore and apply the new technology while having fun along the way. I found it to be a very engaging podcast which presents these new (and sometimes overwhelming) technologies in a very user-friendly manner.

I found this podcast using Google.
