My area of interest is high school librarianship. In searching 'groups' on LibraryThing, I found a group called "Librarians-in-Training who LibraryThing". The description of this particular group is: The place to be for Library and Information Science students of all levels to discuss changes in the field, schooling, and of course, books! I felt as if I had hit the jackpot. There were several books listed that I identified with such as Great Presidential Wit by Bob Dole and The War Against Boys by Christina Hoff Sommers. I chose The New Lifetime Reading Plan by Clifton Fadiman, a book which contains essays about authors and their most influential work. I think this would be an excellent book to use for collection development.
